About this Event
Summary
With the Powers of Attorney Act 2023 passed and plans for it to be in force soon, this session will focus on how the new process will work, what the changes from the current LPAs are, how you can add value to the service you provide, and encourage people not to do it themselves. The session will then move on to discuss some recent Court of Protection decisions and a social care update.
This session will cover:
- The Powers of Attorney Act 2023 - how digital LPAs will work
- Adding value to the digital process with drafting tips
- The role of the certificate provider following TA v The Public Guardian [2023] EWCOP 63
- Review of important Court of Protection decisions
- social care update
