About this Event
We’ll be discussing Neurodiversity and Writing: how we create as neurodiverse writers and how we can write neurodiversity in our work.
Our events are collaborative. We hope we’ve created an environment in which you feel free to participate and contribute. And, with up to 30 writers in a room, our evenings can be lively.
We want you to have the best and most productive time possible. If you have questions or needs you wish to discuss with us before you attend, please email [email protected] or [email protected].
Agenda
6-8pm
1. Connecting: We believe that writers who know each other get more done and in this part of the evening, we actively facilitate a conversation between attendees. (This bit can be loud – in a good way.)
2. Hot Seat: With a speaker or a panel, we discuss a topic/theme and promote sharing of expertise and knowledge among the group.
3. Reading: Up to two members share their work aloud. Listening to each other’s writing and offering feedback (if requested) serves us all.
Meeting monthly, Real Writers Circle is a dedicated collective of writers who give and receive support, insights and advice as our writing unfolds – toward publication or otherwise.
Circle members are un/published authors across any genre or form committed to bettering our work and sharing experience and knowledge that informs our writing.
Through facilitated sessions, we encourage exchange, spark connections and seek to inspire and engage with each other. We trust the circle to offer feedback, insights and expertise that is sensitive, useful and satisfying.
Glass of preferred beverage in hand, we meet from 6-8pm on the last Tuesday of every month in beautiful surroundings in a venue in Brighton.
