Carly Dober X With One Another: Slowing Down, Looking Forward
An End-of-Year Gathering for Allied Health Professionals
As another year draws to a close, we're creating a little space to slow down, come together and celebrate the year that was.
Working in the helping professions can be incredibly meaningful, but it can also be a lot. Between supporting others, navigating change and keeping up with the day-to-day, we don't always make time to pause and recognise everything we've moved through.
So, before we turn our attention to another year, we'd love to bring our community together for an evening of good conversation, connection and celebration.
Slowing Down, Looking Forward is an invitation to reflect on the year that's been, acknowledge the challenges and wins (big and small), and share a little of what we're hoping to carry into the year ahead.
There'll be space for a bit of reflection, but mostly, this is an opportunity to enjoy each other's company, share a drink, have a bite to eat and connect with others who understand the experience of working in allied health.
We're delighted to be hosting this gathering alongside Carly Dober, Principal Psychologist at Enriching Lives Psychology and Director of Education at Australian Association of Psychologists Incorporate (AAPI), who shares our passion for building community and creating meaningful connections across the helping professions.
What to expect
- A relaxed, welcoming evening with fellow allied health professionals
- A chance to reflect on the year that's been and look towards what's next
- Good food, a drink and plenty of conversation
- An opportunity to reconnect with familiar faces and meet some new ones
Whether you've joined us at a previous gathering or this will be your first, we'd love to have you there.
About your Hosts
With One Another is a community gathering series created by Tessa and Jessica of One Another, to bring people in the helping professions together in a more genuine, human way. Rather than traditional networking that can feel a little transactional, we create relaxed and intentional spaces for connection, conversation and community.
This end-of-year gathering is hosted in collaboration with Carly Dober of Enriching Lives Psychology. Carly is also Director of Education at Australian Association of Psychologists Incorporated and a Board approved supervisor. Beyond her clinical work, Carly is a passionate advocate for mental health and community connection. She's written extensively on psychology and wellbeing, hosts a book club exploring mental health themes through literature, and has a book of her own coming out in January 2027! With a shared love of bringing people together and creating space for meaningful conversations, we're excited to collaborate on this end-of-year celebration.
Please note: Numbers are intentionally limited to keep the evening small and comfortable, allowing space for genuine conversation and connection.
