✨ May 15, 2026 | CAREXDESIGN in Conversation - Come take part in a conversation about why CARExDESIGN matters. We’ll be taking a tour of our space, and delve into two ADA projects from 2025:

  1. Adapt/Evolve, A Cross-Disciplinary Exploration of Adaptive and Inclusive Design (September 18 - October 26, 2025). Read the dezeen article.
  2. Unbreakable Summit: Tamara Morgan (ADA Associate Director) will share her remarkable story of becoming the first person with osteogenesis imperfecta (brittle bone condition) to ascend Mount Kilimanjaro (August 2025).

At its core, CARExDESIGN is about recognizing individuals as experts in their own lives and designing with, not for people with disabilities. By centering care and collaboration, we can build more inclusive environments that honor autonomy, creativity, and access.

What to Expect:

  • A welcoming, community-driven atmosphere
  • Facilitated conversation on person-centered design and its real-world applications
  • Stories and insights from Adaptive Design’s 25 years of working with individuals and families
  • Opportunities to reflect, share, and connect across disciplines
  • Light refreshments and informal networking

Who Should Attend:

  • Educators, therapists, and service providers
  • Designers, makers, and creatives
  • Disability advocates and community organizers
  • Families and caregivers of individuals with disabilities
  • Students and emerging professionals interested in inclusive practices
  • Anyone passionate about equity, access, and community-driven innovation

Adaptive Design is a fully ADA-compliant site. If you require additional accommodations or have any questions, please contact Tamara at [email protected]

We invite you to come as you are—curious, open, and ready to engage. Whether you’re new to person-centered design or deeply embedded in the work, your voice and perspective are vital to this conversation.

Let’s reimagine design together—through care, collaboration, and community.
