BR SOLDIER OUTREACH Care Package Stuffing & Celebration of our founder, Christy Smith!Join us on Saturday, November 7th, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the United Cajun Navy Warehouse!
Location: 9318 Jimmy Wedell Drive, Baton Rouge, LA
This won't be just another care package stuffing event - it's also going to be a BIG celebration of the life and legacy of Mrs. Christy Smith! We'll come together to honor the incredible woman who dedicated so much of her life to supporting our deployed service members, while continuing the mission she loved so dearly.
The November stuffing was always extra special to Christy - she wanted to make sure every service member - not just the ones nominated to BRSO - felt love and appreciation, especially during the holidays when they were away from their families. What better way to celebrate Christy than by doing exactly what she loved most — bringing people together to support our troops!
In addition to volunteers, we need snacks! Popular care package items include: beef jerky, powdered drink mixes, pretzels/chips, candy (no mints, it makes everything smell minty!), cookies, trail mix/nuts/seeds, or individual seasoning packets like Tony’s. Unfortunately we cannot ship anything liquid. We are working on confirming drop-off locations currently - confirmed are Benton Bros. in Denham Springs, and The Bookstore Bar in Baton Rouge.
The postage fund could also use some support! You can donate online at our website, via Venmo or Paypal, or through our Amazon wishlist (see comment below).
We hope you'll join us for this very special morning of service, remembrance, and celebration.
