About this Event
What if meditation didn't require you to sit still?
Welcome to Cardio Meditation — an active meditation experience that brings movement, breath, body awareness and stillness together in one practice.
Created for people who want the benefits of meditation while also moving and reconnecting with their bodies, Cardio Meditation combines gentle cardio, mindful movement, deep stretching, Tai Chi and Qigong-inspired movements, body tapping, breathwork, free-flowing movement and guided meditation.
This isn't about keeping up with anyone else.
There are no complicated routines to memorize and no pressure to perform. You are encouraged to pay attention to your own body, recognize areas of tension or limitation, and move at the level that feels right for you.
WHAT YOU'LL EXPERIENCE
During your 60-minute Cardio Meditation experience, you may explore:
• Gentle cardio and rhythmic movement
• Deep stretching and mobility
• Body tapping and energy awareness
• Tai Chi and Qigong-inspired movement
• Breathwork
• Free-flow movement and music
• Grounding and body awareness
• Guided relaxation and meditation
We gradually move from activation → awareness → relaxation, giving both the body and mind an opportunity to reset.
WHY CARDIO + MEDITATION?
We often treat physical health, stress and emotional well-being as separate things.
Cardio Meditation brings them back together.
The practice is designed to support circulation, mobility, flexibility, strength, body awareness and stress reduction while creating an opportunity to quiet the mind and reconnect inward.
You may leave feeling energized. You may feel deeply relaxed. You might discover tension you didn't realize you were carrying.
Every experience can be different — because we meet the body where it is that day.
WHO IS THIS FOR?
Cardio Meditation is especially welcoming to adults who:
• Want to become more active without an intimidating workout environment
• Have difficulty sitting still during traditional meditation
• Want to improve flexibility, mobility and body awareness
• Carry stress or tension in their bodies
• Are navigating midlife and changing bodies
• Want movement that can be modified to their individual ability
• Want to connect with a supportive wellness community
No meditation experience is required. No dance experience is required.
Come exactly as you are.
WHAT TO BRING
Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely. Bring water and an open mind.
Most importantly, leave the expectation of perfection at the door.
