If a dad joke had a love child with a rap battle, which was then adopted by a tournament, you’d have Capitol PUNishment. Two contestants square off in a best-of-three round where the pun topics are decided by the spin of the iconic wheel-of-puns. The winner advances to the next round.
When all is said and done, and a champion has been decided through the crucible of noble pun combat, the bosses come out. The champion must then beat the bosses in a lopsided battle, where their only help is the audience’s choice of topic. If the champion wins, they become the Pun Master, entering into the hallowed hall of fame where a select few have earned a spot. Hosted by Emily Sood with bosses Justine Lopez and Damian Harmony.
November 6 Contestants: Ngaio Bealum, Sarah Rollins, Teo Morgan, Michael Frigm
Friday, November 6 • 9pm • $15 (No fees!)
