Join us for an afternoon of creativity and connection at CANVAS & COMMUNITY!
Let's be honest: a lot of us are carrying more than we let on right now. When life gets stressful, it's natural to pull away, skip the gatherings, and tell ourselves everyone else is doing fine. But that's exactly when we need each other most.
So consider this your invitation to slow down, breathe, and reconnect with community.
Paint whatever speaks to you: a self-portrait, your pet, your favorite vacation spot, or one of the images we'll have on hand. All supplies are included. You don't need any experience or any "talent." Just bring yourself.
Coming solo? You're in good company. Plenty of people come alone, and our team will greet you at the door and help you find a seat.
And this afternoon isn't a one-time thing. It's a starting point. Before you leave, we'll share ways to stay connected, including our monthly gatherings.

Tickets
Every ticket includes your canvas, all painting supplies, and refreshments.
🎟️ General — $25 - $35
Money tight this month? Choose the Community Rate. No questions asked, same seat, same supplies. We have 10 tickets; get yours ASAP.
🎟️ Reduced Community Rate — $15
Enjoy R&B, Hip-Hop, and Top Hits while painting your canvas in a warm, welcoming space. Unwind, meet someone new, and take home something you made.
Want to Help Make It Happen?
We need 4 volunteers for setup, welcoming guests, and cleanup. Arrive at 2:00 PM, stay through 6:00 PM. Volunteers paint free and get first pick of a seat.

- Do you sing? We'll have a mic! We welcome all great talent.
- Wear clothes you don't mind getting a little paint on.

About Connect 2 Rise
Connect 2 Rise is a Pasadena-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit working to end social isolation by connecting people with community, resources, and each other.
Proceeds support our year-round gatherings, including our 2026 Thanksgiving Dinner, where no one should eat alone.
Photos and video will be taken during the event and may be shared by Connect 2 Rise. Prefer not to be photographed? Just let us know at check-in and we'll give you a sticker so our team knows to leave you out of photos.
