About this Event
Spend a quiet Sunday evening painting ceramics, tasting herbal tea, and making something by hand.
Candlelit Ceramics Chicago is a small-group creative workshop designed for adults who prefer an easygoing evening over a loud social scene.
The room will be styled with warm, flameless candlelight while guests work at shared craft tables with guidance from an experienced ceramic facilitator.
No art experience is required.
Choose the ceramic format included with your ticket, plan a simple color direction, and paint your piece using the workshop materials provided.
During the first part of the evening, the host will also introduce a small herbal tea flight. Tea is presented as a tasting experience only; no health, wellness, detox, sleep, or medical benefits are promised.
What You'll Do
Paint a Ceramic Piece
Depending on your ticket type, you'll paint either:
one ceramic trinket dish; or
one ceramic mug.
The ceramic pieces are prepared before the event so you can focus on color, pattern, lettering, or simple illustrative details.
The workshop host will demonstrate basic painting techniques before you begin and will remain available for questions throughout the session.
Herbal Tea Flight
Guests with in-person tickets receive a small guided tasting of confirmed herbal tea selections.
The host will introduce the flavor profile and ingredients of each tea.
Tea selections will be finalized before the event and may contain ingredients that are not suitable for every guest. Ingredient information will be available at the event.
Guests are never required to drink a tea they do not want.
Candlelit Studio Atmosphere
The workshop uses battery-operated flameless candles to create the candlelit setting.
No open-flame candle is required for the experience.
Firing & Collection
Finished ceramic pieces remain with the workshop team after the event so they can be completed through the confirmed firing process.
Your attendee confirmation will include the expected pickup window once the ceramics partner and firing schedule are finalized.
Do not expect to take the painted ceramic piece home on the night of the workshop.
The organizer will not advertise a pickup date until that date has been confirmed with the firing provider.
