Candid Candidates: 2026 Vancouver Election

You are invited to a fun-filled candidate meet & greet for the upcoming 2026 City of Vancouver municipal election! This is a great opportunity for you to get to know the candidates running for Mayor and Council in Vancouver, learn about their platforms, and voice your priorities as young voters. Through short candidate pitches and an informal mix-and-mingle session, you’ll get to engage directly with the people who could be shaping Vancouver's future.

• Time: 6:00-8:00 pm Pacific Time (doors open at 5:50pm)
• Location: Creekside Community Centre Multipurpose Room 4 - 1 Athletes Way, Vancouver BC
• Cost: Free! (Pre-registration on Eventbrite required)

This event is hosted by the Global Shapers Vancouver Hub. The Global Shapers Community is a network of young people under the age of 30 working together to address local, regional and global challenges founded by the World Economic Forum. With more than 9,000 members, the Community spans across 400+ city-based hubs in 150+ countries. In each city, teams of Shapers self-organize to create projects that address the needs of their community. This event is co-hosted with CityHive and sword fern collective.

CityHive is a youth-led organization on a mission to transform the way young people are involved in shaping their cities. CityHive provides opportunities for civic-minded, city-shaping youth, and also provides youth engagement consulting and implementation services for organizations and institutions.

The sword fern collective is an emotions-centered community engagement organization focused on bridging the gaps between arts, culture and community action. sword fern aims to advance climate justice by sparking dialogue and providing people with the tools to discuss climate issues and ideate climate solutions in their own communities.

• Metered street parking available and a number of parkades nearby.
