2027 Canadian Prairie Fire SummitFebruary 24, 2027 | Calgary, Alberta
Join us for a one-day gathering that brings together Indigenous knowledge holders and communities, fire practitioners, prescribed fire practitioners, ranchers, land managers, researchers, and conservation partners from across the Canadian prairies.
Fire has shaped these grasslands for thousands of years, and Indigenous peoples have long cared for the land with fire. This summit is a chance to learn from that knowledge, share on-the-ground experience, and strengthen the relationships that make good fire work possible. Through talks, panel discussions, breakout sessions, and shared meals, you'll hear about current practice, research, and partnerships, and you'll have time to connect with others doing this work in your region.
Are you a seasoned burn boss, a landowner curious about prescribed fire, or someone just starting out? You're welcome. Come ready to listen, share, and build the community that will carry prairie fire stewardship forward.
