Canada Day 2026 at Queen's Park

Celebrate Canada Day with neighbours, friends, family, and visitors at one of the province’s most historic and iconic landmarks. On July 1, the Legislative Assembly of Ontario will host a free, family-friendly celebration with special performances, live music across two stages and inside the Legislative Building, face painting, photo opportunities, self-guided tours, midway rides, inflatables, and more. Food will be available for purchase from a selection of food trucks on site.

Programming will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. It's free, open to all ages, and pet friendly.

Kicking off a full day of stage performances, Hitmen Drumline will lead a high-energy parade, followed by:


  • Opening ceremonies with emcees Sam East and Astrid Moulin featuring the national anthem performed by Natalie Morris and a performance by Tribal Vision Dance
  • Musical and special performances by Impulse Steel Orchestra, Benji Crane, Enchanted Strings, Surround Sound, Blessings Flute, Dance Migration, and a headline performance by The 99s
  • Kid-friendly performances by Stunt Ventriloquist Tim Holland, Lei’ala Dance School, Sonshine and Broccoli, Magic Wij, and Wayland Li Wushu
  • Circus workshops, visits from special characters, hula hoop and bubble fun zones, crafts and activities, and an interactive art installation with Keenan D’Abreo


No registration is required, but all visitors entering the Legislative Building must go through airport-style security screening with the last entry at 4 p.m.

Time: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (last entry into the building at 4 p.m.)

Location: Ontario's Legislative Building, Queen's Park, Toronto (just north of the TTC Queen's Park subway station). All visitors entering the Legislative Building must go through airport-style security screening.

Cost: Free admission
