Respectfully....Can Feminism Within Business?
In this Respectfully… conversation, Hilary and Fay join us to talk about their organisation, their approach to leadership, the values that shape their decisions, and what it means to try to build a business differently.
We’ll explore feminism in business as something practical: how power is held and shared, what leadership looks like, the choices organisations make about people and culture, and what happens when values have to survive contact with the everyday realities of running something.
This isn’t a conversation about having the perfect answer or presenting one model of feminist leadership. It is a chance to hear from two women about what they have actually built, the principles underneath it, the tensions and choices involved, and what their experience might help the rest of us think differently about.
This even t is part of The Root Podcast, Respectfully… brings the people, ideas and questions from the podcast into the room, giving Manchester a chance to continue the conversation together.
A note on our use of “feminism”: We use feminism here as an inclusive commitment to gender equity and to challenging the structures that create and sustain gendered inequality. Our feminism explicitly includes trans and non-binary people, and people of all genders are welcome in this conversation.
Respectfully… is not a space for trans-exclusionary feminism, anti-trans rhetoric, or the use of feminism as a vehicle for hate.
