Calling for musicians - New Women's Jazz Fusion Band
Hey there!
We're on the lookout for musicians to join our exciting, all-women(non-binary) Jazz Fusion Band to work on our first performance on 5/9 in SF (venue TBD). If you love playing jazz music, and would like to perform on stage with the support of a house band, this is for you!
Come to our Sun March 15th 6pm mass meeting at Wefunder SF the startup-creator incubator , and meet our existing band members to learn more.
Jazz beginners and pro welcome. The basic requirement is being able to play along a easy lead sheet like Autumn Leaves. We will give each ready musician the opportunity to be on at least one tune with the core band and potentially becoming a core member.
We will provide more info, instruments (drums, guitar, bass, piano, mics, amps and PA) and food at the mass meeting. Feel free to bring your own, too.
By RSVP, you will get
a) the working set list of 10ish easy-medium level jazz standards
b) a building access code for the meeting.
The meeting is open to women and non-binary participants regardless whether you decide to join the band or performance. If you are going to be late for the start, we might take you in during an intermission.
