CALL TO MUSTER – MK3 CORTINA OWNERS! 🚨Sunday 27th June – Smeaton Lakes
The word has gone out… the MK3s are being called to muster! 🇬🇧
As part of the Club’s National Weekend, we are going for something rather special — a Guinness World Record attempt to assemble as many MK3 Cortinas as possible in one place!
And quite frankly, this is where YOU come in…
We need EVERY MK3 we can find! The more cars, the bigger the spectacle, and the better the chance of making automotive history.
Now, it could just be me, but there really is only one thing better than owning a MK3 Cortina…
Meeting up with a load of other people who own MK3 Cortinas! 😂
So, whether your Cortina is:
🔧 Good
🔧 Bad
🔧 Modified
🔧 Standard
🔧 Concours
🔧 A work in progress
🔧 Or held together by optimism and cable ties…
WE WANT TO SEE IT!
If you're a MK3 owner — or can borrow one, blag one or persuade one to make the journey — get yourself along to Smeaton Lakes and join the gathering.
And don't think distance is an excuse…
We're already expecting MK3s to make the journey from the Highlands of Scotland AND the Netherlands! 🇬🇧🇳🇱
So if they can make the pilgrimage, surely the rest of us can manage a few miles!
This isn't just about a world record.
It's about the cars, the people, the friendships, the stories and the sheer spectacle of seeing a sea of MK3 Cortinas together in one place.
So dust off the Cortina, pump up the tyres, check the oil, wake the neighbours and get yourself to Smeaton Lakes!
📣 ONE CLUB. ONE WEEKEND. ONE MASSIVE MK3 MUSTER.
Come along. Support the club. Be part of the attempt.
Because let's face it…
You don't get many chances to park up alongside dozens — hopefully hundreds — of MK3 Cortinas and say, “I was there.”
🚗💨 SEE YOU AT SMEATON LAKES!
THE GOOD. THE BAD. THE MODIFIED. THE STANDARD.
BRING THEM ALL!
