About this Event
West Yorkshire Combined Authority's FREE adult cycle training programme aims to enable more people to travel by bike. Sessions run every Saturday until mid-October, except bank holiday weekends.
These sessions are available to all adults aged 16yrs+ who can already ride a bike and now want to improve their skills and knowledge. You can choose to use your own bike, or one will be provided for you. Sessions are at Project Colt, on Elland Bridge, where there are toilet facilities and a cafe for a coffee and snack.
Two qualified and highly experienced instructors will meet you in the cafe at Project Colt before collecting the bikes and helmets. As a group, you'll ride along the local towpaths and quiet roads, giving you tips and hints on riding in a traffic-free environment, using gears and possibly how to ride in traffic on quiet roads.
All our sessions are free and you can attend as many as you wish. However, we ask if that if you can't attend a session, please come back to Eventbrite and cancel your place because we always have a waiting list of people wanting to attend.
