Join us at Michael’s Wine Cellar for an unforgettable evening featuring the acclaimed wines of Cakebread Cellars, one of Napa Valley’s most recognized wineries, paired with a thoughtfully crafted multi-course culinary experience from the Michael’s On East culinary team.
On Thursday, October 15 from 6:30–9:30 PM, guests will enjoy a progression of seven Cakebread Cellars wines, beginning with Sauvignon Blanc and moving through Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Merlot, and two distinctive Cabernet Sauvignons. Each course will showcase Cakebread’s longstanding philosophy of creating beautifully balanced wines made to complement great food and bring people together around the table.
The story of Cakebread Cellars began in 1973 with founders Jack and Dolores Cakebread and a 22-acre ranch in Rutherford, Napa Valley. What started with a $2,500 advance used as a down payment on the property grew into a celebrated winery spanning three generations. Cakebread released its first wine, a 1973 Chardonnay, and over the decades expanded its vineyard holdings throughout Napa and Anderson Valleys while remaining committed to quality, hospitality, and wines crafted for the table.
Today, Cakebread works with 17 estate vineyards encompassing approximately 1,600 acres across Napa and Anderson Valleys, allowing the winery to explore an extraordinary range of soils, elevations, and microclimates. Its winemaking philosophy emphasizes the individual character of these vineyard sites, using a thoughtful approach in the cellar to allow each wine’s origin to shine through.
