This is a potluck cake picnic that is free and open to the public. It will be held at the area in The Riverfront Park closest to the corner of 8th & Farnam (see photos). There is public parking available in the Omaha Park garage just south of the park, for $1 an hour. Restrooms are located just across 8th Street in the Skate Ribbon building. What to bring:
A cake containing 8-10 servings, a utensil to serve your cake, plates, silverware, napkins and drinks for you and those in your group. Cake can be homemade or store-bought. Please bring a note card with the ingredients of your cake written on it.
We will set up and provide the area to serve the cakes so that guests may help themselves.
This section of the park does have some tables and chairs but you may want to bring a blanket or lawn chairs.
We will award prize ribbons for prettiest cake, ugliest cake and tastiest cake for homemade cakes only. Let's eat cake!
