Discover the art of cake decorating with Sweet Sugarcraft! Join us for a piping extravaganza as you learn to decorate this fun, bar-style cake. Using just a few piping tips, Stephanie will guide you through 10–12 different border designs. You’ll practice each technique on a template sheet before choosing your favorite designs for your cake—or mix things up with a different design on each side! You’ll even take your template home to continue practicing. No experience necessary- beginners are welcome!
Stephanie Harkin is a professional cake and cookie decorator with more than 20 years of experience, including employment in three local bakeries and service as a Wilton instructor for hundreds of students. Her talent has earned her multiple baking and decorating awards at the National Capital Cake Show and other local challenges. She joined the Fran’s crew over seven years ago, where customers have admired her work on the inspiration table or benefited from her thoughtful guidance on their own decorating projects. Known for her creativity, curiosity, and patience, Stephanie’s approachable teaching style makes her classes both enjoyable and inspiring. Her biggest passion is experimenting with and sharing new techniques to help decorators of all levels build confidence and develop their own unique toolkit of skills.
