Alabama-born and Nashville-based Caitlin Cannon’s songwriting walks a razor’s edge between humor and heartbreak, satire and sincerity. She disarms listeners before pulling them into raw explorations of love, loss, addiction and beyond. “It’s hard to imagine another country album as effortlessly cool as Caitlin Cannon’s Love Addict,” raved The Nashville Scene about her 2025 release, a bracing cocktail of dreamy Americana and classic country. Her 2024 Beggar EP and 2020 debut, The TrashCannon Album, were also critically acclaimed, and 2023 found her finishing in first place at Songwriter Serenade and in third place at the Telluride Troubadour Contest. She has also shined as a stand-up comic (no surprise given her effortlessly hilarious stage persona) and as a workshop teacher, being the co-founder and lead instructor of Beyond Bars, a prison songwriting program in collaboration with the Cultural Arts Alliance of Walton County and the 30A Songwriters Festival.
Cannon will be sharing the stage with kindred genre-bending adventurous spirit Stacy Antonel, a native of Ocean Beach, California who grew up listening to pop and R&B hits and studying classical piano until she was 18. After graduating from UC Berkley, Antonel moved to Buenos Aires and sang in a friend’s electro-cumbia band as well as for commercial jingles (MTV, Jeep) that aired throughout Latin America. She continued performing in different bands upon her return to California, but it wasn’t until she discovered her love for country music that she felt truly at home. Her 2022 debut, Always the Outsider — deemed “wonderfully bold and reassured” by HOLLER — blended elements of mid-century country with subject matter ranging from the sensual to the supernatural, and she’s stayed that intriguingly unconventional course ever since. She was a finalist at the 2023 NewSong Music Competition, and also garnered honorable mention at that year’s Telluride Troubadour Competition and Planet Bluegrass Songwriter Showcase.
