About this Event
Hi! 👋 I am Faith Hanna–herbalist, professor, and creator and curator of the newly-opened Living Museum of Herbal Wisdom. This petite garden and space is where we enjoy, gather, receive, weave, and share the wisdom of people, plants, and land.
We look forward to welcoming you here :)
For this Halloween/Samhain/Dia de los Muertos special event, we'll begin with a cacao circle and oracle card pull led by healer and guide Leslie Malman. We’ll take a short break for a BYO lunch in the medicinal garden, and then do a deep dive into the protective and healing properties of native plant blue vervain, which is related to the "vervain," or verbena officinalis, long-regarded as a powerful ally across Africa, America, Asia, and Europe. You'll go home with a gift featuring this timeless beauty.
What’s included: Entrance to the museum/medicinal garden, a cup of cacao, guided experiences with cacao and blue vervain, and a gift containing blue vervain, that you’ll take home.
Note: if you are pregnant or may become pregnant, blue vervain is not the medicine for you right now (but it may be for someone close to you). There are no other reported contraindications for this plant.
A note on wellness: We're a close-knit, hands-on group. If you're feeling even slightly under the weather, please sit this one out and join us at a future event.
Important note on refunds: Because we book the space and buy materials ahead of time, we can only offer refunds if you cancel a full week before the event.
