Reflecting on the experience of being first on the scene of a tragic car accident in 2026, Natalie Maxson explores the ways we respond to suffering both individually and communally. Drawing on spiritual teachings from her Christian tradition, her experiences as a human rights advocate and on the front line with Indigenous land defenders, as well as her work as a clinical counsellor, Natalie will interrogate why some situations may compel us to act while others leave us feeling complacent.Presenter: Natalie Maxson // Worship Associate: Fae Shaw

ABOUT KELOWNA UNITARIANS
Kelowna Unitarians is a liberal, religious, spiritual community; we take seriously our commitment to a free and responsible search for truth and meaning. We welcome, recognize and celebrate the inherent worth and dignity in ourselves and each other, regardless of all the ‘isms’ that might divide us. We are a designated ‘Welcoming Community’ which means we intentionally work to make this a safe place for the LGBTQ2SI+ community. We are brave, curious, and compassionate thinkers and doers. We are diverse in faith, history and spirituality but are aligned in our desire to make a difference for the good.
