Now is the time to SING! Leela is here to help further demystify the beautiful puzzle of harmonizing by ear! 6 Tuesdays, 7:00-8:30pm, November 10-December 15, 2026.

This will be a challenging and inspiring class for singers who have taken one or more of Leela's By-Ear Harmony Singing classes or choruses (or for singers with some experience, with instructor's permission). We will learn several new songs and sing them together in glorious three-part harmony. In addition, you will be challenged to work on your ability to create harmonies of your own! If you choose, you'll get the opportunity to construct a harmony to assigned songs using concepts presented in class, your own creativity, and a good bit of trial, error, and courage. Through break-out small groups, exercises, and "homework," your understanding and application of by-ear principles will flourish. We will continue to experiment with larger and smaller group singing, strengthen our voices and ears, and have a darn good time together while we're at it! Song selection will, as usual, mainly be drawn from folk, old time, and old country repertoires, but may range outside of those genres. Come sing!!
Notes: Class is for age 14 and up. Ages 8-13 welcome to attend with a parent or responsible adult who is also registered for the class. Please use the sliding scale as needed to make the class financially accessible (and/or if registering multiple family/household members)! Note that lower price tiers are limited but more may be added as folks register at full price. Class limited to 40 singers. Pre-registration is REQUIRED.
