Butterflies require a lot of strength to migrate for the winter. Their strength can come from minerals found in water, although they cannot land on large bodies of water to get the nutrients they need. Creating puddling stations for them helps to provide a space for butterflies to get the salt and minerals they need to navigate their journey south for the winter. This program will provide all of the supplies needed as well as additional information about butterflies and their journey south. Registered participants will receive a 12 inch dish, sand/pebbles, rocks to paint, and a choice of two fairy garden decor pieces.
Advanced registration is required to attend, with the deadline to register of 9/21 This is open to all ages although younger children may require adult assistance. Parents/caregivers are required to remain on site for the duration of the program. This program is scheduled 3pm-5pm with the option to arrive no later than 4:30 to assemble your puddling station.
