Butterfly Pinning Workshop | Multiple Dates Available
Pin and take home your own museum-quality butterfly specimen with expert guidance. Shadow box displays available as an add-on. Take your skillfully pinned specimen home at the end of the workshop. If your class is scheduled towards the end of the day (between 6-8) we strongly encourage you to come early to enjoy admission to the museum, which comes with the ticket purchase. Depending on what we have in stock, our standard butterflies that we offer are Graphium Sarpedons and Giant Orange Tip butterflies (one per participant). You can choose to pin a more exclusive butterfly rather than the standard butterfly, the Blue Morpho Butterfly or the Monarch Butterfly with an additional upcharge.
Accessiblity note: please be aware that our classroom space is not wheelchair access at this time. We are happy to accomodate with an accessible classroom space on the first floor on a case by case basis. Please email us with accessiblity needs before the class at [email protected]
Please Note: If these Butterfly Pinning Workshop dates work best for you and your child, you are welcome to attend. However, families with children under 18 are strongly encouraged to register for our Insect Pinning Workshops for Kids. Keep in mind that minors under 18 must be accompanied by an adult guardian for all workshops. Observers are welcome and may purchase a guardian/observer ticket at the front desk or online.
No refunds but we are happy to exchange your ticket for a different date if you let us know of your absence in advance. Any reschedules will require a $10 fee.
