Butter Social: Fall Edition
Saturday, October 17th Bread, Butter & Wine 1 Seating – 3:00 PM $45 per person Crush Pad Wine Bar
A communal afternoon at the table, part experience, part gentle guidance, where we explore how the most elemental pairings of food and wine begin with something as humble—and as revealing—as butter.
Once a quarter, we make butter in-house from scratch, aligned to the season. This is the fall butter: richer, deeper, shaped by the cooler months and the flavors that naturally accompany them. The afternoon unfolds slowly, in the spirit of a European countryside bistro—relaxed, conversational, and centered on the pleasure of tasting together. The focus is not instruction but discovery, how texture, salt, fat, acidity, and structure shift and respond when placed side by side.
You’ll be served multiple types of bread and crackers, alongside four house-made butters: one simply salted, plus three compound butters built around curious, autumn-driven flavor profiles designed to highlight contrast, balance, and harmony.
These are paired with four wines, chosen specifically to demonstrate how something as simple as butter can transform the expression of a wine—and how the wine, in turn, reshapes the butter. The goal is not explanation alone but discovery through tasting.
For those who want to extend the experience, you may order a side of French ham upon arrival to create your own perfect bites of ham, butter, and bread throughout the afternoon.
