This whole-day workshop will be led by Helen Edwards. Explore how bodily kinship with the planet offers a path through which forgotten and unworlded movement identities may return. There will be time for breathing, grounding, and somatic attunement to invisible forces such as gravity, mass, and density; sensing light and dark matter and feeling the expansion and diminishing of space.
Helen will open a kinaesthetic listening practice, which may enable the body to discover authentic, raw, or suppressed ways of moving through a physical environment, exploring flow, destratification, and tectonic shift. From an architectural perspective, we will explore how movement may be unearthed in spatial pathways as human bodies break up, highlight, or redefine negative space around them.
Cost: £50/£40 as you can afford.
