About this Event
Silent Centenarians is a series curated to celebrate 3 classic silent films turning 100 with brand new live improvised piano scores. Our last film of the series is Buster Keaton's The General which is considered to be one of the greatest films of all time. The massive budget and irresponsible usage of train stunts are truly something no sane film studio or union would ever allow so make sure you don't miss the film that made Buster Keaton sign away his creative to MGM forever presented with live improvised piano scoring by Devereux Geiger.
Silent Centenarians series dates:
Nov 1st Fritz Lang's Metropolis (the first sci fi film)
Nov 15th Lotte Reininger's Prince Achmed (the first animated feature)
Dec 13th Buster Keaton's The General (one of his last independly controlled silents)
