Business Week Miami 2026 | Where Ideas Meet Opportunity

Connecting students with a network of resources, businesses, and oppourtunities that support entrepreneurship – including mentorship programs, business incubators and accelerators, funding and investment opportunitie, Professional development, and strategic networking.

Connecting international students with potential employer sand mentors making their international transition smoother for those who desire to stay in the U.S. after their student visas expires. Eliminatting the fear surrounding this event for many of our students.

Info: Will guide students through the F1 Visa process and give tips for studying abroad.

Info: Students will engage in an X-Factor styled game, where the attendees will pitch themselves, their strengths, and what they hope to improve on to a panel of potential business mentors. If a mentor is interested in guiding and assiting the mentee throughout business week, they will turn around in their swivel chairs to "pick" their mentee. If more than one mentor turns around... it will be the mentees choice to choose the mentor of their preference. The one who most aligns with their goals, participation is on a first come first served basis.

Info: A moment for the matches to get to know each other better, exchange preferred contact methods, and discuss goals and current challenges they are facing whether in school, business, or personally. The unmatched mentees will have a chance to introduce themselves to the mentors and possible find the right match,

Info: A workshop lead by Mr. David Mullings on how to properly pitch and create a business idea.

Info: After the screening, attendees transition into a fast-paced, fun FIU-themed mini pitch competition inspired by Shark Tank. Students form teams, and each team randomly draws a mystery business challenge. Here's the catch:
each team only gets 10–15 minutes to build the company. Each team gets 60–90 seconds to pitch their idea to the Panther Panel. The point isn't spreadsheets but creativity + entrepreneurship + teamwork. Audience members decide which company they would "invest" their Panther Bucks in. The winners are picked by the Panther Panel (judges).

Info: Welcoming contestants, their supporters, and graduates of Business Week. Mentors will begin prepping pitch competition participants.

Info: Each contestant has approx. 3-7 minutes to pitch their business idea to a panel of judges for the chance to win an investment into their idea.
