About this Event
Participant driven creative space, where you can do journaling and other papercrafts on your own or with others around a common theme.
12-4pm Every 2nd Saturday of the Month @Burwood Library Community Hub - Meeting Room 1
Our journaling group will be centred around:
- Junk and receipt journaling
- Reading and film journaling
- Travel and photography journaling
Zinesters are also welcome. Where journaling is a collection of private thoughts, zines are the medium in which these thoughts are shared with an audience.
Zines are becoming recognised by libraries and higher education institutions around the world as a real form of literature.
In parallel, junk journaling has emerged as a popular hobby within the design community to savor and collect unique art and design found on call cards, flyers, receipts, and packaging.
Journaling is a great mindfulness activity that prompts us to slow down, reminisce, and be grateful for the experiences that we have collected.
This is a completely free event! BYO required.
