Randy Candy Cane Routine!Friday Evenings: 5:45-6:45pm
8 week session starting 10/16th-12/4th
Located at the Highland Ballroom, 4th floor of Weider Hall
389 Gregory Street
$120 for the 8 week session, $20 drop ins
DETAILS:
Burly Fridays just got festive with this new class session and brand new group routine! This will be a fast paced and cheeky group tease featuring a (candy) cane! Think of classic big broadway style dance moves ,etc… but with a twist. A peppermint TWIST! We’ll incorporate a large candy cane as a prop in this dance for naughty and nice alike!
CLASS BREAK-DOWN:
Class consists of a basic warm up, a break down of technique, and those techniques will get drilled as combinations. At the end of the ten week session, we’ll have a fully fleshed out dance routine you can perform onstage or for a loved one! And we always end class with a little lead-n-follow freestyle!
WHAT TO WEAR?
Class attire is anything you can comfortably move in and feel good! Workout clothes/ dance wear etc. And while I love a sexy heel, we go barefoot or do a dance slipper or sneaker in the studio, in order to preserve the floor. For the floor work sections, you may want to bring knee pads. I will have some canes for practice in class, and later on we can order or decorate our own for the show!
PRICING, LOCATION, MISC.
Class is open to all levels of dancer and all walks of adventurous, daring people! While a familiarity of dance vocabulary is always helpful, it’s not necessary as I always will break things down and offer any needed modifications or more advanced options. The 8 week session starts 10/16th and runs till 12/4th from 5:45-6:45pm.
Classes are located at the Highland Ballroom at Weider Hall, 389 Gregory Street, 4th floor. Register the full session for $120 (that’s $15 a class) or drop in class to class for $20.
....AND PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITY?!
This class also has an optional performance opportunity, as it will be a group dance featured in the upcoming winter holiday Pretty Kitties Show, date 12/5th!
If you are interested in performing it in that show-register for the full session and let me know by class 3, so that i can factor you into formations and featured sections. If you cant make a class, for whatever reason, please let me know so that i can keep you posted.
And you’re welcome to come and dance in class and not perform if that’s more your jam too. Cash, Venmo (@LeahCamilleri) or check to Leah Camilleri. Can’t wait to see you there!
