On Friday, October 30, a solitary figure in ceremonial dress will move slowly through Burbank, tracing a diamond across the city.
Burbank Diamond Walk: Quaternity of Wholeness is a site-specific, durational performance activating four symbolic locations in a single afternoon — the personal, the communal, the corporate, and the civic. The walk is built on the sacred number four: four cardinal directions, four elements, four stages of transformation, four aspects of self. Together these points form a diamond, a figure of clarity and multidimensional light, drawn into the streets of Burbank and closed by returning to where it began.
Yozmit performs in ceremonial BodyMask — sculptural garments made from her own printed fabric, YOZMITOILE. The costume obscures personal identity so the figure can carry something larger: an archetype, a totem, a presence the city can respond to.
There is no stage, no ticket, and no barrier between the work and the people who encounter it. The city itself is the stage, and the people of Burbank are the audience. Some will have come deliberately. Most will simply look up from their afternoon and find something unexpected passing by.

How to take part
Come to any one site, or follow the whole path by car. You are welcome to watch, photograph, or walk alongside. Arriving at a single site is a complete experience — you do not need to see all four. The performance is silent and contemplative; there is nothing you need to do but be present.
About the artist
Yozmit The DogStar is a performance artist, singer-songwriter, and designer whose work fuses ritual, visual art, fashion, and shamanism. Born in Korea and originally trained in fashion, she turned to performance as a practice of transformation and self-authorship. She is a 2025 COLA Master Artist Fellow, a California Arts Council Fellow, and a West Hollywood Transgender Initiative grantee, and has performed at MoMA with Marina Abramović, at Coachella, at Vienna's Life Ball, and at the Queens Museum.
WALK began in New York City in 2008 and has since moved through twenty-four cities worldwide, among them the Berlin Wall, the Stonewall Inn, and Google's Quantum AI Seminar. This is WALK N°25.
Her mantra, DoYou, is a call to walk one's own path.
