Slow down. The bunnies will notice.
Welcome to Bunny Yoga by Yoga Kawa in Toronto. This one is quieter than people expect, and that is exactly the point. No playlists designed to hype you up. No pressure to nail a pose. Just a room full of people breathing a little slower than usual, and a handful of bunnies deciding, on their own terms, whether to come say hello.
Bunnies are prey animals. They do not bound over the way a puppy would. They read the room first. They watch. They take their time. When one finally hops over and settles beside your mat, it means something. This class is built around that pace, and most people find that pace is exactly what they needed.
Here's how the hour breaks down:
- 35 minutes of easy, beginner-friendly yoga
- 20 minutes of quiet connection time, where the bunnies may approach you on their own terms
- 5 minutes of sharing circle
Why people keep coming back
Bunny yoga works because it asks everyone to slow down, and slowing down turns out to be harder than it sounds. By the time the bunnies start moving through the room, most people have already let something go. Your nervous system just... exhales. It is a Saturday morning in Toronto that actually feels like one.
The most important rule: stay on your mat
Your yoga mat is your designated space for the session. Staying on it is not just good etiquette, it is how we keep the bunnies safe and comfortable. Stepping off your mat, even briefly, can startle them and undo the trust they have been building since the session began. Please bring a proper yoga mat or rent one at reception. Non-yoga grip towels are not an acceptable substitute.
A few things to know before you come
Please arrive at least 15 minutes early. Class starts on time and the doors are locked once we begin to protect everyone's belongings. Late arrivals may not be accommodated. Wear clean, comfortable fitness attire and leave the dangling jewellery at home. There are no spectators at this event. Everyone in the room participates. Disruptive behaviour may result in removal at the instructor's discretion. The more calmly you engage with the yoga, the more likely the bunnies are to come find you. One more thing: the bunnies are litter-trained, but occasional accidents do happen and are cleaned up promptly.
Families and kids
This class is family-friendly. Kids ages 5 and up are welcome. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who also participates and helps their child move gently and interact with the bunnies with care. For children under 7, we ask for a 1:1 adult-to-child ratio. For children ages 7 and older, one adult may accompany up to four children. If your group needs an exception to these ratios, please reach out to us at [email protected] before booking.
Rescheduling, transfers, and refunds
All tickets are final sale. There are no refunds for missed sessions. If you need to reschedule, you may do so up to three weeks before your class date for a 50% rescheduling fee per ticket. Requests made after that window cannot be accommodated. Tickets are transferable to another person if you cannot attend. In the unlikely event that the studio cancels, you will receive a full refund or we will work with you on alternative arrangements. Genuine emergencies may be considered case by case with appropriate documentation, and any approved emergency refunds are subject to a 5% merchant processing fee.
Thank you for helping us keep each session calm, safe, and meaningful, for the bunnies and for everyone in the room.
