BCB's biggest education event of the year is back - and this time it's a full weekend.
Join us October 17-18 for an all-weekend rabbit health education event at our Long Beach-Viking location. Whether you are a new rabbit parent or a seasoned one, this weekend is designed to give you the tools, knowledge, and hands-on skills to keep your rabbit healthy - and know what to do when something goes wrong.

First Aid Class ($25)
Learn essential emergency skills every rabbit parent should know. Learn how to assess your rabbit's condition, perform basic first aid, and recognize when immediate veterinary care is needed. Covers topics like wound care, fractures, shock, and creating an emergency kit (basic kit available for purchase; must attend practicum for fully upgraded kit).

Bloat vs. Stasis Seminar ($25)
Understanding the critical difference between GI stasis and bloat can save your rabbit's life. By walking through 3 separate cases of bloat, learn to recognize the symptoms of each condition, understand their causes, and know when to rush to the emergency vet versus when you can monitor at home.

Head Tilt: Causes, Care + What Comes Next with Jody Springborn, Educated Rabbit ($25)
Head tilt is one of the most alarming things a rabbit parent can witness - and one of the most misunderstood. Jody Springborn of Educated Rabbit covers the most common causes of head tilt in rabbits, how to differentiate between them, what the recovery journey actually looks like, and how to provide supportive care at home.
Advanced session - prior completion of BCB's Bloat vs. Stasis class or EC Vet Set talk required.

1:30 PM - 3:30 PM
First Aid Practicum ($35)
Experience hands-on learning experience where you'll practice essential rabbit health assessment skills. Learn to palpate (feel) your rabbit's abdomen, take a rectal temperature, administer subcutaneous fluids, give oral medications, and perform other basic health checks. Bring your own rabbit/s (complimentary boarding provided for day-pass attendees) or practice with our demo bunnies.
To attend practicum, you must have attended First Aid Class + Bloat vs. Stasis Seminar the same day or in the past. You will be eligible to purchase an upgraded first aid emergency kit.
1:30 PM - 3:30 PM
Senior + Disabled Rabbit Care with Jody Springborn, Educated Rabbit ($35)
Caring for a senior or disabled rabbit requires a different kind of attention — and a different kind of patience. Jody Springborn of Educated Rabbit walks through the most common challenges facing aging and disabled rabbits, how to assess their changing needs, and how to provide hands-on supportive care at home. Covers mobility support, syringe feeding, environmental modifications, and quality of life considerations.
Advanced hands-on session - prior attendance of BCB's First Aid class required.
Day 2 - Sunday, October 18, 2026: Holistic Day

Back to Basics: Forage ($25)
Learn to create nutritious forage mixes for your rabbit - safe plants and herbs, seasonal ingredients, foraging in your own backyard, and DIY enrichment ideas. Take home your own 8 oz blend.
11 AM - 12 PM
Forage for Prevention ($25)
Build on the basics and learn how to use targeted herb blends to support your rabbit's immune system and long-term health. Covers which herbs have documented preventative properties and how to combine them safely.
Advanced session - prior completion of Back to Basics: Forage required.
1 PM - 2 PM (in collaboration with Dr. Erika Budde, DVM)Acupuncture Demo (Complimentary)
Watch a live demonstration of rabbit acupuncture and learn how this holistic treatment can help with pain management, mobility issues, and overall wellness.
Attendees can schedule acupuncture appointments for their own rabbits during the event ($325 value for only $130). Sessions are first come, first serve + will be 40 minutes long. Rabbits must be RHDV-2 vaccinated.
2 PM - 3:30 PM
TTouch + Rabbit Massage with Micaela Salatino, CA Practitioner 1 ($35)
A hands-on introduction to Tellington TTouch techniques and rabbit-specific massage. Learn gentle bodywork methods you can use at home to support your rabbit's wellness, reduce stress, and improve body awareness.
Attendance of acupuncture demo recommended prior to this session.

- 1 Day Pass (Saturday OR Sunday): $75 ($85 value)
- Weekend Pass: $150 ( ~$195 value) - all classes (your choice of intro or advanced) + complimentary lunch Day 1
- VIB Pass: $350 (~$450 value) - includes all classes (your choice of intro or advanced) + complimentary lunch Day 1 and Day 2 + upgraded first aid kit + half-day staycation both days
- VIB+ Pass: $450 (~$580 value) - includes everything in VIB + one acupuncture session with Dr. Budde
- Acupuncture appointments: $130/session (advanced reservation)
First aid kit + add-ons available for purchase starting at $60.
Health Requirements
Attending rabbits must be RHDV-2 vaccinated. All other small pets require a current wellness certificate.

Your Rabbit (Optional): You're welcome to bring your rabbit for the practicum session to practice health assessment techniques on your own bunny (half-day staycation boarding is available for purchase; is included in the vib pass)

Emergency Kit (if you have one): For review and feedback during the first aid class
Water + Snacks: Stay hydrated and energized throughout the day (light snacks and refreshments will be available)
Yoga Mat: T-Touch + Rabbit Massage is a floor-based session. Your rabbit will be working at ground level and you'll want to be comfortable alongside them
