Curious about a career in the skilled trades? Join us for an engaging 4-week workshop series designed to introduce women to the world of skilled trades, build confidence with tools, and explore pathways to rewarding careers in the industry.
Hosted as part of the Resilient Woman Program, this series provides practical knowledge, hands-on learning, and valuable insight into opportunities within trades. Whether you are exploring a career change, building new skills, or simply interested in learning about the trades, this workshop series offers a welcoming and supportive environment to get started.
Participants will gain foundational knowledge about workplace safety, tools, apprenticeship pathways, and earning potential, while also connecting with mentors and peers who are passionate about empowering women in non-traditional career fields.

Facilitator:
Desiree Smith, also known as “The Floor Diva,” is a double journeyperson with over 12 years of experience in the construction industry and is passionate about helping more women enter and succeed in the skilled trades.

1️⃣ Enter the campus from McLaughlin Road.
🅿️Parking: Free visitor parking is available on the right
2️⃣ Proceed to the main entrance of the B Wing under the large white canopy.
3️⃣ Once inside, walk straight ahead down the main hallway.
4️⃣ Turn left at the first corridor.
5️⃣ The first lecture hall on your right is Room B213 (the only room in that corridor).
