Krista Reeder and I had a great time speaking to so many of you at the Impact Conference last week on Building Children’s Grief Narratives. Coming up in just under two weeks, we’re doing the 3-hour extended version at the Hive, or there is also a VIRTUAL option. Professionals pay $90, and students pay $30, so keep this in mind for anyone who works with children or parents. The Parent side of things is actually KEY to helping children through grief, so this training applies to all of you therapists who just see adults as well. Therapists, school counselors, hospice workers, child life specialists, OTs, STs, would all learn a LOT!
All proceeds are going to Lion's Heart: Where Children Grieve Courageously to pay facility rental fees to start grief groups for kids and teens, so consider this a donation, with 3 NBCC CEs as your prize!
This event is co-sponsored by Suzanne Apelskog with Life’s Learning, so you know it will be a great event.
Last pitch: If thinking about talking to kids about death, including suicide, homicide, and domestic violence really puts a knot in your stomach, this is the training for you. We will explain exactly how to do this and why it’s the best idea, and guide you through interventions start to finish. Don’t miss it!
