Building Bridges 2026: Building Stronger Bridges for Sustainable Support

This is our 18th annual Building Bridges Conference at Dutchess Community College! This event is co-hosted by Astor Services, Poughkeepsie City School District, Mental Health America, and Dutchess County Department of Mental Health.

The goal of this conference is to support providers and caregivers who are part of the systems of care for youth and families in Dutchess County. By working together we can "Build a Bridge" between the educational and other systems of care that serve our youth. During this conference we will learn, grow, network, plan, and support each other in this difficult work. We appreciate all of you SO much!

Info: Keynote Presentation with Kailin Kucewicz, LMSW. The goal of this presentation is to share how the Community Navigator model and the SHAPE Mental Health Quality Assessment can strengthen collaboration among schools, county systems, and community providers while supporting data-informed improvements in school mental health. Participants will 1. Understand the role of the Community Navigator in supporting school-community partnerships; 2. Learn how SHAPE helps school teams assess strengths and identify priority areas for improvement; 3. Explore lessons from implementing SHAPE with district-based, cross-sector teams; 4. Identify the supports and conditions needed to scale SHAPE across Dutchess County; and 5. Consider how they can contribute to a coordinated system of support for young people and families.
