Join the Build for the Future Design Session!
Come together in person to design Build for the Future, the largest funding pot in the Growing Together Fund. This is a chance to share ideas, connect with others from across the community, and make plans for how this investment will work for the town.
Build for the Future will offer capital support in the form of larger investment (up to £360,000 in year 1) in developed opportunities that can build, protect or generate long-term value for the town, especially around assets, infrastructure, place-shaping opportunities and projects capable of attracting other money.
What people bring to these sessions makes a real difference. In July, people from across the town came together to design the process for the Strengthen and Grow funding round, and the ideas shared there directly shaped how it works. This session will do the same for Build for the Future.
The session will work through questions including, but not limited to:
- How the process will run: how organisations apply, what support they receive, and what the timeline looks like.
- How decisions will be made: who decides which projects receive funding, what criteria they use, and how to keep the process fair and transparent.
Where this fits in the Growing Together Fund journey
So far, the town has designed the Give it a Go fund to allocate money to smaller projects to spark something new, and the Strengthen and Grow pot to support ideas and organisations get ready for a bigger next step. Build for the Future follows these earlier plans and is the next step on that journey.
This pilot of the town’s Growing Together Fund is supported and backed by the Greater Grimsby board and Pride in Place board. It is being delivered by Our Future and Key Fund, with the support of North East Lincolnshire Council and in partnership with people across the town.
The plans made at this session will be used to finalise the process, with applications opening in early 2027.
