Drop in to the museum courtyard and help craft large willow creatures to watch over us through the dark days coming. Follow the folk ways and tie your winter wish on an indoor rag tree. Stay for mulled cider, apple cake and a chunk of traditional bread baked from the last wheat of the harvest.Shoulder to shoulder with West Country-based craftsman Stefan Jennings, twist and bend sticks into powerful beasts. Will the creatures emerging from the shadows form a looming bear, a majestic deer, a fearsome boar, or a giant wild cat?
Your dangerous creatures will feature in a display next year.
Like generations of harvest hands, reward your hard work with drinks, mulled cider or Devon apple cake from the museum cafe. Rip off a share of a giant wheatsheaf-shaped loaf from local One Mile Bakery.
This is a free event. All ages welcome. No experience needed.
