Each Fall, we sponsor "Brushtober Fest" to engage members and others in brushing out trails after the healthy growing season and summer monsoon rains. Join SDMB at Fantasy Island for Trail Work and good vibes.
We will be brushing back the vegetation to open up the sight lines and to help keep the trail clear. Plan on hiking in and out of the Lone Cactus loop. We will be hiking up to 3 or 4 miles total.
Tools, refreshments, and lunch will be provided by SDMB.
meet at the Fantasy Island North Entrance parking lot (Irvington and Harrison) at 8am.
No experience is needed. Please arrive by 8am for a brief summary of the trail work and a safety meeting. Please bring plenty of water, trail snacks, sunscreen, long pants, and close toe shoes.
People under the age of 18 must be accompanied by by a legal parent or guardian and sign a youth waiver on their behalf.
