Bruno Arruda finds great inspiration in the fascinating music of his home country Brazil. After studying in São Paulo and at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow, the pianist went on to lead a busy, international touring and recording career. In between co-authoring children's books with complementary original music and scoring for theatre productions, Bruno also finds time to teach piano at the Malta School of Music and to accompany on the piano.For these 2 nights Bruno has prepared a delightful program encompassing works from the geniuses who made Brazilian music the global phenomenon that it is today, including Ernesto Nazareth, Chiquinha Gonzaga, Heitor Villa-Lobos, Egberto Gismonti and Nelson Ayres amongst others.
Pair that with a couple of delicious Caipirinhas (which we might or might not make especially for the occasion) and you know you're in for a fun night at Offbeat!
