About this Event
Start the new year with The Brotherhood Sister Sol (BroSis) at our one-day conference, Pedagogy of Liberation, a free community event created to reenergize educators, youth workers, and community practitioners who are passionate about youth development and transformative education.
The day will open with a powerful overview of BroSis, sharing our 30-year legacy of culturally rooted and justice-centered youth development. Participants will then join a series of interactive mini workshops that highlight our liberatory approach to teaching and learning.
Sessions will include Writer’s Collective, Arts as Resistance, Restorative Justice, Culturally Relevant Design, Theatre of the Oppressed, and Environmental Justice. Together we will explore how to build spaces where young people can heal, grow, and lead change in their communities.
