In this one day workshop, you'll learn about the history of broomcorn and traditional broom making techniques while making two beautiful brooms to take home
1. A functional and decorative hearth-style besom
2. A charming "turkey wing" whisk broom, perfect for countertops, workbenches, or as a table crumb sweeper.
Workshop Details:
Time: 10:00 AM to around 3 or 4
Coffee, tea, and cookies provided
Please bring your own lunch
All materials are included
Cost: $125 (tax included)
Please Note:
Closed toe shoes are required (no sandals), as you'll use your feet on the spindle during the broom-making process.
Some upper body strength is needed for this workshop.
Out of consideration for participants with allergies, please avoid wearing scented products.
