BROKEN PROMISES: A Night of R&B with DJ HEARTBREAK - Monterey

Friday, October 16, 2026
Deja Blue Event Center – Monterey, CA
21+ Only | Full Bar | Dance Floor
$20 Presale | $30 at the Door

One of the Bay Area’s favorite R&B parties is making its way down the coast.

For the first time, DJ HEARTBREAK brings BROKEN PROMISES to Monterey and the 831 for a night built around R&B, Hip-Hop, nostalgia, sing-alongs, and the records that make you stop mid-conversation because this is your song.

After building a loyal following throughout the Bay Area, BROKEN PROMISES is expanding to Monterey for a special Friday night inside Deja Blue Event Center.

If you’ve been waiting for a real R&B night in the 831, this one is for you.

BROKEN PROMISES is more than a night at the club.

It’s a room full of people singing the same records at the top of their lungs.

DJ HEARTBREAK takes you through the soundtrack of R&B and Hip-Hop across generations — from the records you grew up with to the songs dominating your playlists today.

Expect music from artists like Usher, Chris Brown, Beyoncé, Drake, Rihanna, SZA, Summer Walker, Brent Faiyaz, Kehlani, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Bryson Tiller, Ne-Yo, T-Pain, Mary J. Blige, Aaliyah, TLC, Jagged Edge, 112 and plenty more.

We’ll touch the classics. We’ll get into the 2000s. We’ll play the toxic records. The love songs. The breakup songs. The songs you forgot existed until the first three seconds come through the speakers.

And yes, we’ll mix in the Hip-Hop records that belong right alongside them.

Come ready to sing. Come ready to dance.

We’re bringing the full BROKEN PROMISES experience to Monterey — a full bar, dance floor, tables, and DJ HEARTBREAK controlling the soundtrack all night.

This is our first edition in Monterey, and we want the 831 in the building from the beginning.

Whether you’re coming from Monterey, Seaside, Marina, Salinas, Pacific Grove, Carmel or anywhere else along the Central Coast, consider this your invitation.

Bring your people.

Presale: $20
Door: $30, subject to availability

We strongly recommend purchasing in advance. Door admission is not guaranteed if the event reaches capacity.

Tables are also available for guests who want guaranteed seating and their own space for the evening.

Purchasing a table reserves seating for your party; it does not reserve an arrival time.

Please arrive early. Late-arriving parties may risk forfeiting their reserved table if necessary to accommodate event operations and capacity. All members of your party remain subject to the venue’s admission and age requirements.

This event is 21+ only. A valid, physical government-issued photo ID is required for entry. Photos or copies of identification may not be accepted.

ALL SALES ARE FINAL. NO REFUNDS.

Tickets are non-refundable except in the event of cancellation. Artist/DJ lineup, programming, event schedule and other details are subject to change when necessary without constituting grounds for a refund.

Admission is subject to venue capacity, security policies and management discretion. Guests may be subject to security screening prior to entry. Disruptive, threatening or unsafe behavior may result in removal without refund.

By entering the event, guests acknowledge that photography and video recording may occur and grant permission for their likeness to appear in promotional, social media and other event-related content produced by Heartbroken Entertainment Group, LLC, DJ HEARTBREAK, the venue and their authorized partners.

Monterey, we’ve been waiting for this one.
