About the BAS:
The British Art Show was devised in the 1970s with the involvement of the then Director of City Art Galleries in Sheffield, Frank Constantine.
The first two iterations were shown in Sheffield but it has not returned to the city for 40 years. In 2027, the 10th iteration will be shown across Sheffield’s city-centre at the Millennium Gallery, Site Gallery and Yorkshire Artspace: Persistence Works.
