One of the biggest days in rugby league is coming to Brisbane this November, but the excitement of finals fever won’t just be happening inside the stadium, it’ll be taking over King George Square too! As the 2026 Rugby League World Cup Grand Finals land at Suncorp Stadium on November 15, King George Square will come to life with ‘Brisbane Celebrates Pacific Cultures’, a free, one-day event celebrating Pacific culture and community in the heart of Brisbane City.
Presented by Brisbane City Council and Brisbane Economic Development Agency (BEDA), this vibrant, family-friendly event invites locals and visitors alike to spend the day soaking up the colour, sound and flavours of the Pacific, with food and market stalls, cultural performances by Pacific Island communities, workshops, rugby league activities and more.
Whether you’re heading to the big match, making a day of it in the city, or simply looking for a great free outing with the family, King George Square is the place to be on 15 November. Bring the kids, bring your friends, and come celebrate the cultures of the Pacific in the heart of Brisbane City.
