Our FMS Lab Values are a living document of the shared values guiding our feminist thinking and doing at the FMS. Collectively authored by our members across a series of meetings grounded in building our feminist library—BaFL, the identified values stand at the core of the work we aim to do here. These values and how we define them continue to evolve as does our membership, staff, and the feminist work we enact together.
Each year, we work collectively to reflect on, refine, redefine and enact a lab value, to maintain the values as a “living document” of the Studio. For 2026-27, we will turn to “practicing queer and trans politics.” Join us on November 13th from 5pm-6:30pm for a group discussion of the lab value. FMS members Raph Bessette-Viens, Piper Curtis, Nik Forrest, Cael Keegan, Natalie Kouri-Towe, Krista Lynes, Chantal Partamian, and Annie Thao Vy Nguyen will begin the discussion with some prepared remarks, leading into an open discussion on this and our lab values at large. Drop by early to tour the space, meet our staff, and connect with other current and future FMS members.
Light vegetarian and vegan snacks and refreshments will be served. We ask that you kindly RSVP to help us gauge numbers, but drop-ins are also welcome. Bring a friend!
