Bring Your Own Project Club is a monthly sewing session where you can use our Janome sewing machines and get support and guidance from a trained professional with over 20 years of sewing experience.
- Need use of a Sewing Machine or Overlocker?
- Want to sew in a group with other like minded individuals & make some sewing friends
- Short on space to sew at home or lacking the motivation to get going
- Enjoy coming together with like minded people?
Then this is for you! Our Sewing club is a great opportunity to make friends and to share your ideas and latest sewing projects. Planning a new project, not sure where to begin or working on a project and got a little stuck? Need help with a particular technique? Sheila will be on hand to help with all of your sewing questions!
Janome Sewing Machines and Overlockers will be provided but you will need to bring your own projects, fabrics and sewing kits. Please note this is not a full sewing class with full tuition from the tutor, you must have some sewing experience and have your own project you would like to work on each week. As this is a group session the tutor is not available for one to one coaching, just support and advice.

I am passionate about sewing and crafting.
I have been involved with sewing and dressmaking for all of my working life and nothing gives me greater pleasure than passing on my knowledge to people who want to learn to sew. I enjoy sewing, dressmaking, all types of craft and especially machine embroidery.
I have been working at the Abakhan store in Shrewsbury since it opened its doors in 2018.
