Dearest Gentle Reader,It has come to this author’s attention that society shall once again descend upon the illustrious halls of the Lincoln County Assembly Rooms for an affair most splendid indeed. Prepare your finest silks, polish your dancing slippers, and ensure your calling cards are in impeccable order, for the Bridgerton Style Regency Weekend shall return for its seventh enchanting season on the 2nd and 3rd of April, 2027.
Friday Evening, 2nd April 2027
The festivities shall commence at precisely 19:00, as guests gather beneath candlelight for an evening of refinement and indulgence within the elegant Edwardian surroundings.
Dinner shall be served at 19:30, offering a most delectable two-course affair:
Main Courses
Roast Chicken Breast served with Creamy Chive Mash, Sugar Snap Peas and Carrots, accompanied by a White Wine & Mushroom Sauce (GF/DF options available)
or
Crispy Puff Pastry Vegetable Wellington with Creamy Mash Potatoes, Seasonal Vegetables and Red Wine Sauce (VG, VE, GF, DF)
Dessert
Chocolate Torte and Ice Cream (GF, DF and VE options available)
Once appetites have been thoroughly satisfied, the ballroom doors shall open for an evening of traditional Regency dancing until 23:00. One can only hope the ton behaves itself… though this author suspects otherwise.
Saturday, 3rd April 2027
Society’s diversions continue with a delightful programme throughout the day.
Guests may partake in one of two exquisite Afternoon Teas, served at either 12:00 or 14:15, whilst aspiring debutantes and ambitious gentlemen alike may sharpen their social accomplishments during Regency Dance Lessons at 13:45 and 16:00.
Further intrigue awaits in the Oval, where themed talks shall take place throughout the afternoon.
Then, as twilight falls and chandeliers glimmer across polished floors, the occasion for which society truly gathers shall at last arrive…
The Bridgerton Style Ball Returns
At 19:00 on Saturday evening, the grand ballroom shall once again open its doors for the seventh Bridgerton Style Ball, an evening of elegance, romance and whispered intrigue.
Sweeping gowns, finely tailored coats and sparkling jewels shall fill the ballroom as guests dance beneath the sound of live music in true Regency splendour. Horse and carriage rides shall await beneath the evening sky, whilst cocktails, canapés and refreshments shall be served throughout the evening.
Guests are kindly reminded that Her Majesty’s throne is for admiration only and must not be sat upon.
Yet every seasoned member of society knows that where there is music, dancing and candlelight, scandal is never far behind. Secret glances, whispered conversations and perhaps even the spark of new romances are all but guaranteed before the evening draws to its close.
Whether one arrives seeking admiration, amusement, companionship or merely the finest evening of the season, this author can assure her readers of one thing above all else:
The Bridgerton Style Ball promises a night to remember long after the final dance has ended.
