About this Event
Overview
This 2-session program aims to equip youth with essential life skills to navigate life transitions with greater confidence and resilience.
This course is suitable for youths aged 15 to 19 years old.
Transitioning from secondary or post-secondary education into the next stage of life is both exciting and challenging. New opportunities await, but so do unfamiliar environments, increased responsibilities, and evolving expectations from educators, peers, and family members.
This two-part interactive and experiential course is designed to equip youth with essential life skills to navigate these transitions with greater confidence and resilience.
Participants will learn to:
- Develop greater self-awareness and a positive sense of self.
- Recognise and manage difficult emotions more effectively, and apply strategies to regain emotional balance after setbacks.
- Strengthen resilience and adaptive coping skills to navigate unfamiliar situations, transition-related stress, unknowns and uncertainty with greater flexibility and confidence.
- Recognise signs of distress and identify sources of support, including drawing strength from supportive relationships.
Through engaging activities, guided reflection, practical exercises, and group discussions, participants will develop greater emotional intelligence, adaptability, and confidence. These skills will help them manage challenges more effectively, make informed decisions, and create a stronger foundation for success in education, work, and life.
